For some reason i felt as if we were all turning a corner with regard to the economy. People weren’t exactly beaming with positivity but it seemed as if we had adjusted to our new reality and we’re getting on with it. Sure we knew the budget was yet to come and in the back of our minds we wondered if there were more skeletons in the banking closet but generally i thought we were over the worst. However after reading the piece by Morgan Kelly here and listening to the news over the weekend it seems the worst is yet to come.
But i’m refusing to let it get to me. Onwards and upwards. We may be in the gutter but we’re looking at the stars etc etc.
To that end here’s a nice little video by IBEC. A positive spin on Ireland.
Reminds me that, aside from all the banking malarky, we’re still a pretty bright bunch.

Agreed.
And here’s something to cheer you up. Our video of Sunday’s wine fair, where there was plenty of smiley happy faces, perhaps due in small part to the libations, but as Monsieur Bonaparte said of Champagne, in victory we deserve it, in defeat we need it.
